QUENTIN BLAKE 2007

A Celebration!

The Chris Beetles Gallery presents a selling exhibition of 150 original drawings and watercolours by Quentin Blake, the world's favourite living children’s illustrator.

Best known for his 15 year partnership with Roald Dahl and for his unforgettable illustrations for Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, The Twits, The Witches and The BFG, Quentin has become as recognisable to a whole new generation through his own wonderful creations such as Clown and Zagazoo and Loveykins. This popularity was demonstrated by the Guardian, describing him as 'already a national institution' when he was appointed the first Children's Laureate in 1999.

The show features a selection of his most recent work as well as old favourites. Images include familiar faces from children's classics such as the BFG, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, Arabel's Raven and many more.

Signed copies of a large range of Quentin Blake publications are available from the gallery.

The exhibition runs from 25th March until 7th April 2007.
