Roy Hammond has been on his travels again and does his first show at the gallery for three years. In the past he has had sell out shows and his small, atmospheric watercolours, largely done on the spot, continue to be in great demand. He is one of the few artists who are prepared to record the bustle and excitement of London particularly at the enigmatic times of the day, misty dawn and rich sunset. The Thames in particular is portrayed by him in all its moods, a setting and a love that he has developed in his successful exhibiting with the Wapping group of artists.

To this exhibition at the gallery, Roy Hammond; Home and abroad, he additionally brings pictures from France, Italy, Hong Kong, Australia, USA, Greenland, Channel Islands, North Africa and of course his home county, Essex.

Come and meet the artist on the opening weekend, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May, 10am to 5:30 pm.
