Lesley Anne Ivory was born in Bedfordshire After studying textile design and typgraphy she taught art for several years. After the publication of the her first greetings card by the charity Oxfam she gradually expanded her output to a diverse range of cards featuring wildlife but particularly cats. Her woodcuts have been exhibited at the Royal Academy and she has held her successful solo shows at the Chris Beetles Gallery for nearly 15 years. Her distinctive cat paintings have appeared in an extensive range of cards, calendars and other gift stationery and products, including limite edition plates as well as in books, as well as in books among them, Cats Know Best, Collectable Cats, Perfect Little Cats and Cat and Carols.
