The ground needs no introduction from me. One of the truly great historic test match grounds. They have developed the ground quite a lot, as is the modern way, but it’s been done in a sympathetic manner retaining the grounds soul. I love that old pavilion. It is the only English ground that had the batsman’s name on the scoreboard next to his score. Seeing your name up there on the famous old scoreboard with a 100 next to it was always special.
