After every cup final victory I used to sit on the balcony at the end of the match and reminisce about the day I visited Lord’s for the first time with my late brother. It was the 1977 Benson & Hedges cup final. Gloucestershire versus Kent. Gloucestershire won and I dreamed that day that one day I would come back to Lord’s and play there in a cup final. luckily for me that dream turned out to be true on 6 occasions.
