The next few days were horrible for all. Ginger's cooking became worse than ever. He put, by mistake, sugar in the soup and salt in the custard. He even put mustard in the coffee to make it taste warmer and his sandwiches of bread and raspberry jam with a sardine in the middle were the nastiest of the lot
