THIS IS A SOUVENIR OF PEASANTS MAKING MUSIC IN AN INN, WHICH WAS PAINTED IN ABOUT 1635. IT WAS BEQUEATHED BY LORD FARNBOROUGH TO THE NATIONAL GALLERY IN 1838. BRABAZON WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS AS A WORK BY DAVID TENIERS, THOUGH IT NOW ONLY ATTRIBUTED.
