This view, from seventeenth-century Lindsey House, on Cheyne Walk, in Chelsea, takes in the then new Cremorne Bridge, a railway bridge designed by William Baker, which opened in 1863. It soon became commonly known as the Battersea New Bridge and now, as it still exists, as Battersea Railway Bridge.
