Henri Pernot was born in Ghent, Belgium, in 1859. He was of French-Belgian nationality and a sculptor, working in both marble and bronze. His bronze works were cast by award-winning foundries in France, including F Barbedienne, Siot, Etling, Thiébaut Freres, E Blot and Susse Frères.
Henri Pernot’s sculptures were exhibited at the Fine Art Society in London in 1902. In Paris, his work was shown at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français at the National Galleries of the Grand Palais in 1909, and in the following year at the École des Beaux-Arts.
Henri Pernot died in 1937.
His work is represented in the collections of the Musée d’Orsay (Paris) and Musée d’arts de Nantes.
