Geoffrey Scowcroft Fletcher (Born 1923)

G S Fletcher was born in Bolton on 3 April 1923. He studied at the Slade School under Randolph Schwabe, and was awarded both the Abbey Major Scholarship and the Rome Scholarship. Working extensively as an illustrator of periodicals and children’s books, he also exhibited landscapes and portraits at the RA and the NEAC. He lived at Cobhambury Farm, Kent during the Second World War and later in Ashtead, Surrey.
