Duroid was an anti-skid road surfacing material produced by Newton Chambers of Sheffield. William Heath Robinson produced a series of eleven drawings to be produced on blotters showing the virtues of Duroid. These would have been given to relevant local authority staff. The drawings were later reproduced on blue cards 'as a reminder...'.
