One of the star features of this year’s Illustrators exhibition, which is on display now at the Gallery, has been the debut of the Australian illustrator, Elise Hurst.

When the great Michael Foreman, arguably Britain’s best children’s book illustrator, was faced with Elise Hurst’s illustrations for the first time, he was ‘blown away’ by their skill, detail and beauty.
