'Town & Country: A Journey Through the Seasons' at Mottisfont in Hampshire is open now to the public, and runs until 12 April 2026.

The exhibition features paintings by Lesley Fotherby, Jack Russell and Melissa Scott-Miller, who is pictured here painting on site at the Mottisfont property.

Visitors will encounter scenes ranging from snow-laden hedgerows and village cricket matches to London’s bright squares and waterways. Renowned for painting
en plein air, these artists respond with skill and sensitivity to the splendour of Britain’s urban and rural settings, recording fleeting moments of seasonal change.

As
part of the exhibition, all three artists will undertake live painting sessions in Mottisfont’s romantic riverside grounds, offering visitors the rare opportunity to see their creative processes unfold in real time. Dates will be posted on the Mottisfont website and social media as soon as they are confirmed.
