The Chris Beetles Summer Show is an annual exhibition comprising a superlative range of British oils and watercolours. This catalogue was Chris Beetles Gallery’s first Summer Show publication and features an ‘Introduction: The Societies of Painters in Water-Colours’, and notes on a wealth of artists across three centuries from Edward Dayes, Louise Rayner and Miles Birket Foster to John Nash, Peter Coker and Mervyn Peake. This catalogue also includes an extensive feature on Albert Goodwin and an ‘Index of Artists’.
