Putting on the Ritz is a new selling exhibition of 43 photographs by legendary British photographer John Swannell, produced for David Bailey and David Litchfield’s Ritz newspaper.

Ritz was launched in 1976 by the photographer David Bailey and journalist David Litchfield, and was highly influential in popularising celebrity culture in the UK. Inspired by magazines such as Rolling Stone and Andy Warhol’s Interview, David Bailey created Ritz to combine for the first time celebrity interviews, gossip and fashion photography into a single British publication.
