This is the full sized plaque sculpted by James Butler for the reverse of the £5 coin, released in 2005 to coincide with the bi-centenary of the death of Admiral Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar. This bronze plaque has been cast from the original plaster which is the first stage in the process, it is then scanned, reduced and finally engraved into steel dies by the Royal Mint.
