Based on a 1958 novella by Truman Capote, Breakfast at Tiffany's premiered in October 1961 and follows Holly Golightly, played by Audrey Hepburn, and her relationship with struggling writer Paul Varjak, played by George Peppard. The film was a critical and commercial success and was nominated for five Academy Awards, winning two. Audrey Hepburn’s depiction of Holly Golightly is considered to be one of the most iconic performances in the history of cinema.
