'This was the view out of my window, and it was actually the only window. In order to look out of it we had a box permanently so that I could stand on it and paint, because I did night time views from there as well. It was great because there was snow for a few days, only really a dusting of snow, but it really transformed the square. It was such a good composition because we lived on the corner. So you saw the corner and this lovely little green gardeners hut, and beyond was the roof of my children's primary school…'
