'Today I finished my painting of a Mimosa tree in Randolph Avenue in Maida Vale. I started it nearly a month ago, it seemed so incredible to see this burst of colour. I had to wait quite a while for sunny mornings and tie it in with other things I had to do. I always enjoy painting in Maida Vale, it brings back memories of a short time when I lived in Sutherland avenue.'
